Medical reports

Review the lab results and documents clients upload, and turn the numbers into a structured medical intake.

Clients upload lab results, prescriptions, and scans from their portal. They arrive here as a queue for you to work through — and the job is to turn a PDF or photo into structured numbers the rest of the product can actually use.

That last part is the point. A PDF sitting in a folder is a document. Once you've captured its values into an intake, they become part of the client's medical record — visible on their profile and available to the AI meal plan rules.

Medical reports queue

The queue

Reports are grouped by where they are in the process: All · Pending · Processing · Converted · Skipped. Search by title if you're after a specific one.

StatusMeaning
PendingUploaded, nobody's looked at it yet. This is your inbox.
ProcessingSomeone opened it and started capturing.
ConvertedIts values were captured into a structured intake. Done.
SkippedDeliberately set aside, with a reason.

Each report shows who processed it and when, so on a multi‑person team you can see it's already handled.

Working a report

Click a report to open it. The file renders on the left; the actions sit on the right.

1. Start processing

A pending report opens on "Ready to review?". Read the file on the left, then click Start processing. That marks it as yours and opens the capture form.

2. Capture the intake

The form is pre‑filled where it can be — title, date, and source come from the upload itself. Your job is the clinical content: read the values off the report and enter them into the intake fields.

Click Save as intake when you're done. The report flips to Converted, and the values land on the client's Medical tab as a structured intake.

3. Or skip it

Not every upload is worth capturing — duplicates, illegible scans, things that aren't lab results at all. Click Skip this report and give a short reason ("Duplicate upload", "Illegible scan", "Not lab‑related").

The reason matters: it's what tells the next person why this was set aside rather than missed.

Skipping isn't deleting. A skipped report stays on file, viewable under the Skipped tab. If you skip something by mistake it's still there.

Prior intakes

While you're capturing, the panel shows the client's previous intakes alongside. Use it — that's how you catch that a marker has moved since last quarter, and it saves opening the client's record in another tab to compare.

Common workflows

"Work through this morning's uploads"

  1. Open Medical Reports, stay on the Pending tab.
  2. Take the top one → Start processing.
  3. Read the file on the left, capture the values, Save as intake.
  4. Anything that isn't a real lab result → Skip this report with a reason.
  5. Repeat until Pending is empty.

"A client says they uploaded bloodwork but I can't see it"

Check the All tab rather than Pending — a colleague may have already converted or skipped it. The status pill shows who handled it and when.
